On behalf of our vibrant businesses and friendly citizens, I extend a warm welcome from the Town of Grenfell.
The Town of Grenfell is conveniently situated at the junction of Highway 47 and the TransCanada Highway, 125 kilometres east of City of Regina and 50 kilomtres south of the City of Melville. We are minutes away from the scenic Qu’Appelle Valley – an all-seasons destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
Recreational opportunities are bountiful in our community of 1,049. We are home to the Grenfell Recreational Park (GRP), a dedicated space for the nine-hole sand green golf course; indoor and outdoor hockey rinks; outdoor swimming pool; 49-site campground and the Lion’s Field – a ball diamond paramount to many of those in southeastern Saskatchewan. Outside of the GRP, is a beautiful four-sheet curling rink, an active snowmobile club and the Grenfell Wildlife Association, among dozens of other clubs and non-profit organizations.
While quality of life is influenced by these activities, it is also enhanced by the diverse services and amenities available within the Town of Grenfell.
We offer a vast array of health care and community services, some of which include physician care, public health services, lab and x-ray services, licensed child care, newcomer services, public education, private long-term care, paratransit service, and more.
Our community roots run deep in the agriculture sector but have grown and diversified, having many of our residents work in rapidly growing industries such as health care, education, and construction. The business community of Grenfell is ever-expanding and has recently been elevated with the construction and addition of a nationally-recognized Travel Centre and mixed-used hotel/adult living complex. The downtown business district is populated with retail businesses, restaurants and services such as a laundromat, public library and post office.
The Town of Grenfell is in a position to serve the needs of the present and meet the needs of the future. Strong multi-level government relations, volunteer coordination and the organized effort of municipal Council ensures ongoing infrastructure investment and improvement; land development; business incentives for new and emerging endeavors; and the welcoming of even more essential services.
We live here, work here and we raise our families here. We invite you to explore Grenfell and hope that you too make Grenfell Your Community of Choice.
Sincerely,
Mayor Rod Wolfe
